What Is Systemic Yeast Infection (Candidiasis)

Systemic yeast infection is a very dangerous and even life threatening problem. Systemic yeast infections are unlike regular vaginal yeast infections or penile yeast infections in that they affect the entirety of the body. Systemic Yeast Infections should not be taken lightly and can have very ill consequences if left untreated, including death.

All types of yeast infection are caused by a fungus known as Candida, there are many different species of Candida - the most common is candida albicans. The difference between systemic yeast infection (candidiasis) and superficial yeast infection (such as oral, vaginal and penile yeast infection) is in the degree that these effect our bodies. Penile and vaginal yeast infections are very localized problems that can imply that something is amiss in our bodies, however systemic yeast infection is much more serious and without proper treatment can cause serious issues within our bodies

Symptoms of Systemic Yeast Infection

The symptoms of candidiasis are often found in different regions of our body where it is manifested, for women this is typically the vagina and for men it is usually the penis or throat. The symptoms of these both genital yeast infections include itching, discharge, and possible burning while urinating. For men, they may have flaky skin around the infected area along with red patches and jock itch. When candida spreads it is known as systemic yeast infection, this type of yeast infection is nothing to be played with. Candida is a dangerous and potential fatal fungi when not treated, don't allow this to spread. Candidiasis has been known to cause issues as serious as internal organ failure. If candida spreads to your bloodstream you can develop a very serious fever and if it is allowed to spread to the brain, latent mental disorders can be brought out along with a serious decline in mental function.

Systemic Yeast Infection Treatment

Treatment for systemic yeast infection varies and there are some very powerful natural herbal remedies that can be found online. If your infection becomes a serious issue it is definitely recommended that you seek medical help for your infection from a professional. For superficial yeast infections, natural treatments are often one of the most effective methods that you can take. I recommend using both natural treatments and if your systemic yeast infection becomes bad - Go to the doctor!
